Feeling like you’re stuck in a rut? Want to work on your long-term physical and mental health?

LIFE Ascent might just be the program for you. As someone who’s tried and struggled with sustaining healthy habits, LIFE Ascent’s promise to “teach users to adopt habits that aid in weight loss, disease prevention, and longevity” sounded like just what I needed.

First, let’s look at the basics to understand what LIFE Ascent really is.

What is LIFE Ascent program

LIFE Ascent is a 52-week wellness program brought to you by LifeOmic and built on the foundation laid down by LIFE Apps (like LIFE Fasting Tracker). You can sign up to the program through LIFE Extend mobile app and that’s where you will get access to the daily content.

LIFE Ascent is built on five core principles – nutrition, sleep, activity, mindfulness and fasting. Based on these principles LIFE Ascent aims to help you lose weight, reduce your risk for chronic disease and add eventually meaningful years to your life.

After signing up you will receive daily guidance from physicians and researchers via videos, short presentations and small tasks and activities to do, as well as access to a supportive community. In the app you can also track your progress using different health assessment tools.

What I particularly enjoyed was that LIFE Ascent does not offer a quick fix, instead, it focuses on developing sustainable habits for the long term. It’s a 52-week program but you can start with just trying it for a month. I found that really helpful because it allowed me to ease into the program without feeling like I was making a huge commitment right away.

I started the program about a month ago and I’m already seeing some positive changes. I sleep better, I have more energy during the day and I’m down a few pounds. I’m really excited to see how much more progress I can make in the next few months.

Let’s dive deeper into what LIFE Ascent is offering.

How does LIFE Ascent work?

As I already covered before – you access LIFE Ascent through an app. This makes it really easy to follow the program on the go as you always have your phone with you. And let’s be honest, most of us are spending too much time on our phones anyway, so we might as well use that time to work on our health, right?

Daily Activities

When you sign up for the program you will be redirected to the home screen with the calendar and activities. That’s where you will find your activities of the day. There are different categories of small daily actions, like “watch”, “learn”, “perform”, “consume”, “practice” etc. And each day you will have a different mix of those.

The activities are really varied and range from watching a bite-sized video to learning about a certain health-related topic, to doing a short meditation or following a simple recipe. The more to-dos you complete in a day, the more points you earn (and the better you feel, hopefully). I found that the activities are easy to do and don’t take too much time, which is great because we are all so busy these days.

Oh, and a nice little touch is the daily motivation quotes that you can find on the home screen. They can definitely help to keep you going when you’re feeling less than motivated.

Tracking

The app also keeps track of your progress in different areas, like daily servings of healthy plants, hours of sleep, and minutes of activity and mindfulness. There’s also a fasting tracking built into the app that you can use to track your progress with intermittent fasting.

There’s also a gamification element to the app with LIFE Points for achieving goals in each health pillar. You can set your own daily points goal or try to aim for the recommended 10,000 a day.

The tracking is really simple and straightforward but it still gives you a good overview of your progress. I like that it’s not too much information and that you can easily see how you’re doing in each area.

Community

LIFE Ascent also has a supportive community element where you can connect with other members, ask questions and get motivation and support from each other.

I have to say that I haven’t used this feature too much yet, but it’s definitely there if you need it. Having an accountability partner after all is proven to be one of the best ways to stay on track with your health goals.

LIFE Ascent Add-Ons

Besides the 52-week program, LIFE Ascent also offers some add-ons that you can purchase to further support your journey to better health.

There’s the so-called “Success Kit” which includes a complete kit of tools to measure health indicators such as blood pressure, weight, lung capacity, and grip strength. You can also go for a Blood Biomarker Test which is a quick blood test kit to get a baseline for your cardiovascular health, endocrine system, vitamin levels, and more.

These add-ons are a great way to track your before and after progress as you go through the program, but they are not necessary to do the program.

LIFE Ascent Pricing

LIFE Ascent pricing starts at 25$/month or you can sign up for the yearly subscription for 200$. It’s great that you can try out the program for the first month and then decide if you want to commit to the yearly subscription.

LIFE Ascent Review: The Bottom Line

After following the LIFE Ascent Program for around a month now, I have to say that I’m really enjoying it. The program is easy to follow, the activities are quick and simple but still effective, and I can see that after 52-weeks of following it you would for sure be in much better shape physically and mentally.

The bottom line is that if you are looking for a comprehensive health program that covers all the important pillars of health, then I would definitely recommend checking out LIFE Ascent.
